The brief was to create a new raw material chemical storage compound for a pharmaceutical company.

To maximise storage capcaity and to offer maximum flexibility the building was to have no internal columns.

Curved cellular beams were used to span the 35m wide compound.

The structure was to be open sided for ventilation to minimise the potential for build up of solvents in the event of any leaks.

The site was in a prominent position and to visually improve the appearance louvred panels were provided to maintain the ventilation which were set out in a staggered formation to provide easy personnel escape in the event of an incident.
